Races & Events coming up!

1) April 15th , Sunday - Parkinson Walk at East Towne Mall

This is not a "race" but more of a low key event.

Registration begins at 11:00 am with the walk starting at 12:00pm (noon)

I have registration forms - just let me know if you are interested and I will fill the form out for you and Achilles of Madison will pay the $5 registration fee.

Please wear an Achilles shirt or jacket if you are participating. For new folks I will have one for you this Thursday (or next time I see you).

2) May 10th, Thursday - Meriter Hospital Nurses Run

Start time: 6:30pm

Where: Vilas Park, Madison

Distances: 5K/10K run, 10K wheelchair (attention Pete) and 2 mile walk

Registration fee: $20

*Let me know who is interested in doing this one - perhaps it will be a sanctioned Achilles event (that means if enough folks are interested ATC-Madison will pay for registration fees).

3) June 24th - Sunday - New York City Hope & Possibility 5 Mile Run/Walk/Handcycle

Start time: 10am

Location: Central Park

Stipends will be available to cover at least airfare.

Registration fees will be Free

Plans are to fly out from Milwaukee on Friday June 22nd to LaGuardia and fly back Monday June 25th.

4) July 29th - Sunday - Capitol Mile, Madison

Start time: approx. 3pm

Location: Capitol Square, downtown Madison

Registration fees will be paid by Achilles of Madison

Distance: 1 mile walk/run around the Capitol Building, this is approx 1.5 loops of the square
